WHAT IS PARAMOUNT PLUS?
ViacomCBS has a streaming service called Paramount Plus that requires a membership. It features content from CBS, BET, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, MTV, and The Smithsonian Channel, among other networks.
Included are both contemporary and vintage films from Paramount, Miramax, and MGM. Additionally, you may access exclusive Paramount Plus originals in the collection.
Even local CBS networks can be accessed live through the service, but this feature is only offered with the Premium plan.
SHOULD YOU TRY PARAMOUNT PLUS?
A membership is a no-brainer if you enjoy Star Trek, reality TV, CBS classics, or Paramount Plus originals since you’ll receive all of the same programming and much more. If you enjoy the programming on the network, the inclusion of Showtime content in the app might make the bundle price worthwhile.
It’s likely that this won’t be a replacement for any of your existing subscriptions to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, or Disney Plus if you haven’t already done so. The $5 per month ad-supported tier is, however, on the lower end of streaming service costs if you’re searching for some new series or want to watch some old favorites again. If you have kids, it makes for a happy playground as well. It would be worthwhile to invest your time once more originals and blockbuster film releases are available.
The Paramount Plus one-week free trial is available in the interim if you decide to join as a new member out of curiosity.

“I enjoy every single Star Trek program. I signed up for them. Star Trek Lower Decks is a fun yet significant addition to the Star Trek universe. Fun is had. On all platforms, the app itself needs to be more user-friendly. On the phone and Xbox, it works wonderfully, however on Roku, it occasionally runs slowly. They’re not major problems; the problem is the menu layout. It would be fantastic if Paramount took inspiration from Plutotv’s personalized movie streaming.” – Fred F
