What is WhiteCoat App?
You may consult a doctor using the WhiteCoat telehealth app from the convenience of your home (or anywhere, really). With more sophisticated requirements, such as advising on sexual health, analyzing test findings, and travel medicine guidance, you can obtain assistance.
A consultation conducted online does have certain restrictions, though. Anyone (i.e. everyone) who has seen a doctor would be aware that they do physical examinations to check things like blood pressure and temperature, which is impossible to accomplish over a screen.
Here’s where your assistance is needed; even if you shouldn’t have a stethoscope laying around the home, you should at the very least have a thermometer on hand. Even if you don’t have one (like we did), the doctor should be able to connect the connections and identify more typical ailments.
The most intriguing function, though, is the treatment of chronic diseases. WhiteCoat physicians may recommend medicine for diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol, albeit presumably only if you have previously been diagnosed with these conditions.
How about the fee of WhiteCoat?
It’s a respectable choice for folks with these prevalent ailments who aren’t very mobile because the consultation charge is a fair $25. (I’m picturing my parents and grandparents right now.)
If you receive a prescription, you may decide to purchase the medicine directly from WhiteCoat and have it delivered for an additional cost.
Keep in mind that the $25 consultation charge only applies during business hours (8 am to 7.59 pm from Mon to Sat). $50 is required for an after-hours consultation (8 p.m. to 0 a.m., Monday through Saturday; 8 a.m. to 0 a.m. on Sunday and PH).
How do you suffer treatment from WhiteCoat?
Following the video chat, you will be sent a list of the recommended medications, from which you can select the ones you desire. Despite having some Panadol at home, you were prescribed acetaminophen. Simply choose it from the list to remove it from your medicine cabinet, saving you money and storage space.
You select a delivery time from the available slots after making payment (which we’ll cover in more detail later), and the medication will be brought straight to your door (you’ll need to use your IC to verify your identity, so don’t worry about accidentally becoming a drug runner). Additionally, you’ll receive a reminder when your driver is on the way. In our experience, the driver always came on time.
However, you should be aware that it will take a while (at least a few hours) before your medications show up. We chose the earliest delivery window (3 pm–5 pm), finished our appointment at noon, and our care package was delivered at 3:30. Not the best if you require medicine right away, but quite quickly.
